  Information regarding Low-Cost Internet or Affordable Broadband Programs are available through resources such as the Michigan High-Speed Internet Office or the National Digital Inclusion Alliance.

• When is GRPL discontinuing the Hotspot Lending Service?

  Beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2026, GRPL will disable holds on mobile hotspots and, on June 22, will discontinue its Hotspot Lending Service altogether.

• I have a HotSpot on hold, what does this mean for me?

  GRPL will fulfill as many existing holds as possible until the collection has been discontinued. New holds will no longer be able to be placed beginning March 3, 2026.

• I have a HotSpot checked out, what does this mean for me?

  Hotspot loan periods will continue to be 6 weeks until May 8, 2026. For any hotspot checked out after May 8, 2026 the loan period will end on June 12, 2026.
