    Here is a list of local notaries that may be able to assist you.

    GRPL does not guarantee the availability of a Notary Public at any particular time or location. You may check for available appointment times here[insert LibCal link] or call 616-988-5400.

    We do not record any details of the patron, their personal information, or what exact document was notarized for them.

    GRPL does not guarantee the availability of a Notary Public at any particular time or location. Staff are not able to notarize anything 30 minutes prior to closing. Staff cannot travel to another location to notarize materials; it is the responsibility of the patron to travel to the location offering the service. 

    There is no charge for this service.

    • Valid State, Federal, or other government picture ID
      • Driver’s License/State ID
      • Passport
      • US Military ID
    • The unsigned document to be notarized
    • A witness if needed. 

    Notary services will not be provided for 

    • I-9 forms
    • Trusts or wills
    • Mortgage and housing refinance documents 
    • Blank forms
    • Documents with blank spaces other than the space for signature.
    • Copy certification (e.g., verify that a reproduction of an original document is a true, complete and correct copy of the original).
    • Pages in a language other than English. 

     

    Notaries public on the GRPL staff can offer these services:

    1. Acknowledgments
    2. Administer Oaths or Affirmations (Jurat)
    3. Witness or Attest to a Signature

    You must know which of these services is needed. The notary cannot advise which is needed.
