Branch Locations:
Parking is free at all branch locations during open hours and during library events. 

Main Library:
Free Parking with ticket validation: 2 hours on weekdays, all day free parking on Saturday, Sunday, and for special library events with validated ticket. Validate ticket inside the Main Library lobby. Hourly rate: $2.00 per half-hour.

The lot opens to the public 15 minutes before the library opens and is accessible during library hours.

No! GRPL is open to everyone. Stop by and enjoy our spaces, free events, and materials while you’re onsite. We look forward to welcoming you.

Yes! Enjoy activities and events from May – October on the lawn of select GRPL branches. From book clubs to storytimes, participate in outdoor activities at our Yankee Clipper Branch and Seymour Branch. Our outdoor spaces feature extended seating, WiFi, and games available for use.

Please return any items checked out from the Grand Rapids Public Library, including those borrowed through MeLCat, to one of the eight GRPL locations for immediate check-in. GRPL items returned to non-GRPL libraries will not be checked in until they arrive at a GRPL location. If materials are returned damaged while checked out to you, replacement fees will be added to your account. We offer material drop boxes outside at all GRPL locations for convenient returns! Board games and vinyl cannot be returned in drop boxes.
