Summer Reading Challenge for Little Readers

We have developed a special summer reading program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers!

1. Sign up online or visit any GRPL location to sign up and pick up your beginner swag bag. Sign ups start May 27.

2. Print off or pick up the Summer Reading Challenge 2019 Baby, Toddler, or Preschooler game board. 

3. Visit the library for books to read with your child all summer long and attend our fun, free events. Be sure to stop by our storytime classes this summer for extra fun!

3. Bring in your completed game board between July 22 and September 2 to pick up your child’s prize.

Baby & Me

Parents and caregivers are invited to introduce their babies, birth through 18 months, to music, movement, and language in these 30-minute classes designed just for their specific developmental stages. Babies will enjoy hearing a story and learning songs and rhymes. Playtime after enhances the development of social skills.

Pajama Time

Get cozy in your pajamas, grab your favorite stuffed animals or blanket, and come listen to the library for a special bedtime event! Listen to stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out before bed. Great for working parents!

Summer Storytimes for Families

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their children up to 5 years old to this exciting class featuring literacy rich activities such as stories, songs, fingerplays, and hands-on fun. Classes end with a fun and creative art activity.

Let’s Play

Let’s Play is a four-week program for children 0-5 and their parents or caregivers and focuses on child-driven play. Children will explore different types of play. Each week an early childhood specialist will be available to answer questions parents may have about their child’s development. Families are encouraged to attend all four sessions.
