 Jes Kramer
Thursday, January 21, 2021
7:00 – 8:00 pm
Grand Rapids Public Library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Jes Kramer has been a Michigan music staple for fifteen years. Using instruments you’re likely to find at a garage sale in your childhood neighborhood, she weaves together layers of sounds both familiar and completely new. With contemplative lyrics and intentional delivery, Jes invites listeners into spaces with her that are both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Her latest single “Shake It,” released in the midst of the pandemic, describes a love that is just out of reach and yet somehow enveloping, creating a blanket fort in which to hide like so many of Jes’ songs.

Jes Kramer’s albums can be borrowed from GRPL. Find them here.
