Spoken Word, Hip-Hop, Suicide Awareness and More

Grand Rapids Poet Laureate Marcel ‘Fable the Poet’ Price, will host an evening of storytelling and poetry reading in connection with Suicide Prevention Awareness month. Some of Grand Rapids’ premiere wordsmiths will perform and share their own stories around the topic of mental health. Performers include Rick Chyme, Rachel Gleason, Amanda Zerilli, and KFG Poetry. Representatives from local mental health organizations will discuss mental health care in our city and how you can get involved. Join us for an evening of sharing, awareness, and healing.

Participating organizations include: The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan – be nice., Pine Rest, network180, Arbor Circle, Hope Network, Health for Life Grand Rapids, Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Services, Pressure-Free Living

This event is funded by the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation Dyer-Ives Foundation Poetry Fund.
