Resources for Genealogical Research in Foreign Countries

May 4 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Once you’ve discovered your immigrant ancestors’ home country, how will you go about finding documents generated while they were still there? How will you research their parents? In this session, Katherine R. Willson will discuss resources available for beginning your genealogical research in foreign countries, including how to locate foreign language genealogy terms and how online maps can provide contextual information on shifting country borders. This program is co-sponsored by the Western Michigan Genealogical Society.
