Premieres on Thursday, March 11, 2021
7:00 – 8:00 pm
We’ve taken our popular program, Music in the Stacks, online! Join us for a virtual performance featuring local emerging and established musicians each week on the Grand Rapids Public Library’s Facebook Page.
In this special edition of Music (NOT) in the Stacks, enjoy a spoken-word performance by Grand Rapids’ Poet Laureate, Kyd Kane.
Kyd Kane is a self-taught, multi-disciplined visual artist, poet and, most importantly, beacon of peace and love; born and raised on Grand Rapids southeast side. Kyd uses self expression to generate social dialogue about the good and bad of the human experience, by exploring themes such as; poverty, privilege, gentrification, resilience and identity through community conversation, poem, installation, video, and photography.
This program is supported by the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation.
