Evergreen is not supported by all internet browsers.
Current versions of the following browsers are recommended: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Chrome.
My Account Overview
My Account allows you to view and make changes to your account from any computer with Internet access. You'll find a link to My Account from any page in the catalog. Log in with your username or library barcode and your Password.
- If you have not used My Account before, you must use your library barcode to login, and your password will be the last four digits of your phone number. If your password doesn't work, contact a Grand Rapids Public Library to reset it.
- The first time you login to your account, you will be prompted to update your password to a more secure password. After updating your password you will be asked to login again, with the new password.
- Your password must be at least seven characters long and contain at least one letter and at least one number.
- You can create your own username within My Account.
- You can always use either your username or your library barcode to login.
- Use I forgot my password if you have a valid email address in your account to reset your password and have it emailed to you.
- My Account in Evergreen is a separate account from My Account in LakeNet, the Lakeland Library Cooperative's shared catalog. Your LakeNet account always uses your library barcode for your login and your PIN (not password) can be as few as four characters. You can change your LakeNet PIN to match your Evergreen password through LakeNet My Account, but you cannot match your Evergreen password to your LakeNet PIN unless your PIN meets Evergreen's password requirements of at least seven characters long and containing at least one letter and at least one number.
Account Summary
Your Account Summary displays your username, phone, email address, street address, and other account information. If you enter an email address, you will be contacted by email regarding overdue items, and be able to choose whether you want to be contacted via email or telephone when picking up holds.
Click change beside your username, password, and/or email address to update them.
- If you use any kind of spam filter, be sure to allow incoming mail from 'evergreen@grpl.org'.
These emails are sent by an automated system. If you have questions, you can send inquiries through our AskUs Service.
Items Checked Out
Items Checked Out displays all of the items you currently have checked out, their due dates, and any remaining allowed renewals.
To renew, click item checkboxes and click Renew Selected Items.
Items on Hold
Items on Hold displays your current hold requests
- You'll see your hold's title, author, format, pickup location, and hold status.
- If your hold is ready for you to pick up, the status will say Ready for Pickup.
- To Suspend, Activate, Set Active Date, and Cancel multiple holds through the same action, click those holds' checkboxes and choose an action from the Actions for selected holds dropdown menu.
- For more hold modifications, click Edit.
- You will see information about the item you are requesting and your contact information.
- You can edit your phone number, but the change will only hold true for this request. You must ask library staff to update your phone number if you wish to change it permanently.
- Evergreen will automatically notify you by email unless you disable email notification.
- You can add or change your email address through your Account Summary.
- Evergreen defaults to your home library for a Pickup location, but you can select a different location from the Actions for selected holds dropdown box. If you are not a resident of Grand Rapids, you'll have to select a location until you set your default in Account Preferences.
