Every year, the Grand Rapids Public Library organizes and hosts an event called “Taste of Soul Sunday.” It is a day to explore and celebrate African American culture and history, full of great entertainment, food, and education. It takes a lot of work, so we’re offering this exciting volunteer opportunity! As a volunteer, you will monitor rooms and lines, help with kid’s crafts, be a friendly and welcoming face to direct people through the building and a number of other jobs. As the saying goes, “many hands make light work,” so encourage a friend or family member to volunteer with you. Taste of Soul Sunday will take place on February 19th, from 1-4:30, at the Main library. You do not have to commit to volunteering the whole time. Please email email@example.com to take advantage of this great volunteer opportunity.
