Teen Summer Reading Volunteers

Do you need volunteer hours this summer? Would you like to volunteer in a cool, fun environment? If so, consider becoming a Teen Summer Reading Volunteer at a Grand Rapids Public Library Branch near you!

As Jeanne said last year, “You will benefit by learning valuable job skills. Your volunteer experience gives you an advantage in receiving college scholarships and when applying for jobs. It is fun making new friends and volunteer hours can fulfill community service hours required by many schools.

Does this sound like something you’d like to be involved in? Or do you know of a teen who would enjoy this? If so, contact the youth librarian at your local Grand Rapids Public Library branch location! We will hold teen volunteer orientation sessions in May and June.

We salute our valuable teen volunteers, and we thank you for your past service. We also look forward to having you back to help out this summer. Our teen volunteers are vital to the success of the summer reading programs at the library!”
