Taste of Soul Sunday: Create
1:30 pm & 3:00 pm
Vander Veen Center for the Book | Level 4
Fold, place, whip around, tuck, pull, pin! Experience the colorful, spiritual, and global practice of headwrapping, an art enjoyed by peoples of all backgrounds, ethnicities and continents. Headwraps are a beautiful way to accessorize, protect your hair and show a bit of style. Master Wrapper Zarinah El-Amin Naeem will teach participants how to tie their own headwraps and share the unique history of wrapping across the globe. Bring a piece of cloth or use one of ours—by the end of the session you will be able to create your own piece of art.
