Summer Reading Challenge for Babies

Reading to your baby from birth is the best way to develop early literacy skills that will prepare them for Kindergarten (yes it will be here sooner than you think!).

The Grand Rapids Public Library has developed a special summer reading program for babies 0-18 months old. Parents and caregivers can print this activity sheet to do with your baby. Sheets can also be picked up at any GRPL location.

Throughout the summer read to your baby and do the fun activities on the sheet. When you are done, turn in your sheet and get a prize. Be sure to stop by our storytime classes this summer for extra fun!
