Christian Fiction - Compiled by the Tulsa City-County Library, this site is a wonderful resource for Christian Fiction readers. Many "genres" in the field are covered, such as historical and short stories.

Cliffs Notes - Read Cliffs Notes on-line for free! You can also download them for a fee.

Complete Review - A selectively comprehensive site devoted to book reviews and titles that come highly recommended.

DearReader.com - Have a few chapters of a book sent to your email. A great way to find new authors and keep up on old favorites.

Empty World: Apocalyptic Fiction - A site dedicated to fiction and film depicting the end of the world, apocalypse and nuclear war.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America - "SFWA has brought together the most successful and daring writers of speculative fiction throughout the world, and has grown in numbers and influence until it is now widely recognized as one of the most effective non-profit writers' organizations in existence. Over 1200 sf and fantasy writers, artists, editors, and allied professionals are members. Western Resources [top]

Western Writers of America - "Western Writers of America, Inc., was founded in 1953 to promote the literature of the American West and bestow Spur Awards for distinguished writing in the western field. The founders were largely authors who wrote traditional western fiction, but the organization swiftly expanded to include historians and other nonfiction authors, young adult and romance writers, and writers interested in regional history."

Graphic Novels / Comics Resources [top]

What is a "Graphic Novel"? (and, what is a "Comic Book"?) - These basic questions are answered in graphic (or comic panel) format.

Links to Comics and Graphic Novel Sites - Although probably not comprehensive, this is a good place to start for all kinds of information and other links within this genre. While targetting librarians, this site is a good one for anyone interested in this area.

OnlineComics.net - A directory of online comics, offering categories such as alternative, gamers, furry, manga, atc.

Comic Book Resources - This site offers something for everyone, from news to stores to columns, chat, links, and lots of other comic-related resources. A commercial site, but worth a look.

Lambiek Comiclopedia - An illustrated compendium of over 6,000 international comic artists with biographies and artwork examples.

Friends of Lulu - This site is a national nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote and encourage female readership and participation in the comic book industry.
