Pushed out by Starbucks? Then visit your library!

NPR recently ran this short piece on some Starbucks in New York blocking their outlets and setting time limits on laptop users after complaints from coffee-drinking customers that they can never find a seat.

Fortunately those pushed out by Starbucks can find shelter, outlets, and wifi in their local library.  Here at the Grand Rapids Public Library, we’ll only push you out the door at closing, we have more than enough seating to go around, strategically placed outlets, other business services such as printing, photocopying and faxing, and at our Main library a cafe, Dewey’s Retreat, with more than enough java and snacks to keep you powered up.

Starbucks refugees, GRPL is open for you business!

The parking is a bit steep at the library but I like that the first hour is free.
