Come build things and explore how they work! Kids in second through fifth grade can come to the Main Library for hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art,and Math) experiences each month. Take part in science experiments and activities to find out how things work and explore the world.
Teens and tweens in grades 6-12 can stop by the Main Library on the third Thursday of each month to create awesome robots and try out tech trends! [Tech]Knowledgey Thursdays explore the world of robotics using Lego Mindstorms Education EV3 base set and software. Bring a friend, grab a kit, and build an army of robots. Want to get even more creative? Explore STEAM with different experiments and activities each month! Ride to Read passes are available to participants.
Build your own book club kit with Books by the Stack for Kids. You can check out as many books as you need and download discussion questions. Copies can be checked out for 6 weeks (plus one 3-week renewal).
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book.We’ll announce the 2018 selection in the Fall, so stay tuned!
