Meet the Author of the series “Friends of Martin Luther King, Jr.”

Before and after death, Martin Luther King Jr., inspired many. Most he inspired from afar, only a few were in his inner circle. Who were the people in his inner circle? What were their roles?

On Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Madison Square Branch Library at 2pm, come and meet Jacqueline James the author of a new series of children’s books about the friends of Martin Luther King Jr. Jacqueline James combined her thirty years as an educator with her twenty-five years as a historian and museum docent to write this series, Friends of Martin Luther King, Jr. The series is being written to teach children about the people who worked with and were friends of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., however adults will learn and enjoy the books as well. The first book in the series is about the Reverend C.T. Vivian.
