March is National Craft Month

I love making crafts and the library is a great source for new craft ideas. One thing I like to do while I watch movies or TV is crochet. The library offers great books with crochet projects. If you don’t know how to crochet or knit, we have books that will teach you how. I used a children’s crochet book to learn how to read a pattern. My first project was a crocheted pig from the book “Crochet: Fantastic Jewelry, Hats, Purses, Pillows & More” by Jane Davis. Now I make blankets, hats, scarves, and other things for family and friends.

The Zinio database is another great resource that the library offers. It includes the magazines Interweave Crochet, Interweave Knits, and Cloth, Paper, Scissors.
