The Internet Station Manager (ISM) was developed by the Grand Rapids Public Library (Grand Rapids, MI) as a means of controlling users' time on public Internet stations while reducing staff intervention. It utilizes a variety of open source software (a.k.a. FREE [as in "free beer"]) to allow users to log themselves into and use limited library resources.

Since it has been developed with open source software, we thought it only fitting that we should return the fruits of our labor to the open source community. The noted scripts are freely available and may be used, distributed, or modified, according to the terms of the license agreement.

The license used is the GPL (General Public License). For more information regarding the software license, see: http://www.fsf.org/licenses/gpl.html
