Hispanic Heritage Month

Ever wondered who was César Chávez?  Or why the Aztecs matter?  Or what is the best way to make guacamole?  Or who is the best Dominican baseball player?  Now is the perfect time to find all of these things out!  On Tuesday, National Hispanic Heritage Month began and the library has an amazing amount of resources to help you celebrate the whole month!  What is Hispanic Heritage Month?  It is a month long celebration of all the achievements and contributions Hispanic Americans have made in the United States.  And why does it begin in the middle of September?  Well, that’s because five different Latin American countries celebrate their independence on the 15 of September.  Want to learn more?  We have books, movies, and music to help you not only learn, but celebrate all of the wonderful contributions Hispanics have made to the United States and the world!
