Favorite Square Dumplings

This recipe has been in the family for generations. It is simple, old-school German fare. Comfort food at its best!
Ingredients:
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tsp salt + dash of pepper
- 3 eggshells of water
- 2 cups of flour (about)
Beat above ingredients, adding as much flour as can be worked into egg mixture to make a stiff dough. Knead a few minutes. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick on floured surface. Cut into 2 inch squares. Drop squares into briskly boiling chicken or beef broth. Stir with long handled fork. Cook about 10 - 15 minutes.
