Award-winning photographer Dianne Carroll Burdick will show us photographs from the GR Reads title, Tasting and Touring Michigan’s Homegrown Food. Dianne will explain how using composition guidelines can improve your photographs. Composition is the heart of a photo and light is the soul. Dianne will show us how to notice details, edges, color, light, lines, shapes, angles, patterns and even textures to create your own interesting pictures and to tell your own story through photography. Dianne Carroll Burdick is a free-lance photographer, photography instructor at Grand Rapids Community College, and a Continuing Studies Instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design. She also teaches at Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park and is a regular columnist for On-the-Town magazine. She has participated in over fifty art exhibitions and her work is included in six books. Dianne invites you to bring your camera to her presentation.
