I loved Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn so much that I couldn’t stop talking about it for several weeks after finishing this crazy, complicated book. While I was reading, my husband kept telling me to ‘stop looking funny’ at him, since the story is about a spectacularly failing and messed up marriage and two messed up people. I cannot share the specifics of why I couldn’t help it, though, since anything I say would be a spoiler to twists and turns in the story. Just know this is a top-notch psychological thriller that in my opinion deserves all of the accolades and bestselling status.
Of course, since it is so perfectly plotted, smart and creepy, Gone Girl is one of the top four finalists in March Madness 2012 Library Style, our very first March best books competition. There’s still time to vote for your favorite in the final four or check out the original top 32.
So what do you do if you can’t get your hands on a copy yet? Our hold lists for Gone Girl are still amazingly long. Or like me, what if you want to keep reading more books just like it? Check out the following titles for amazing thrillers involving complicated relationships that just aren’t right.
