Getting Fancy at Yankee Clipper

Twenty-three fancy people celebrated Fancy Nancy during Children’s Book Week at Yankee Clipper Branch Library. Kim, an artist with Cook Art Center, helped children create fabulous, fancy purses after we read Fancy Nancy by Jane O’Connor.  Four Grand Rapids Public Library Branches celebrated Fancy Nancy and four hosted Froggy Fest! to honor Children’s Book Week.

Here Veronica and Ana model their splendid purse.

Wonderful!  Crafts parents can do with their kids and in a great learning environment.  How fun!!!!  Looks like Veronica had as much fun as her daughter, Ana.
