Raise you voice in celebration during the week-long DisART Festival! Join music therapists Erinn Epp and Pete Muszkiewicz for an exuberant hour of music and movement. EatPlayGrow combines the latest science and research to teach children ages 2-5 and their parents how to make healthy nutrition and physical activity choices. Join GRPL and Cherry Health for interactive and engaging lessons that incorporate art-making, storytelling, music and movement activities into fun, hands-on educational lessons about the importance of making positive choices in areas that most affect health: nutrition, physical activity, and, based on emerging medical research, sleep.

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their energetic toddlers, ages 18 months to 3 years, to 30-minute classes featuring hands-on, literacy-rich activities including stories, songs with fingerplays and other action, and sign language. Toddlers will develop pre-reading skills as they make connections between words and movement and have fun with related crafts and socialize during playtime.

Let’s Play! is a four-week workshop for children 0-5 and their parents or caregivers. Let’s Play! teaches the benefits of interactive play. Each week an early childhood specialist will be available to answer questions parents may have about their child’s development. Families must attend all four sessions. The YMCA Veggie Van is West Michigan’s first and only mobile farmers market. The Veggie Van runs year round, making daily stops in urban neighborhoods throughout Grand Rapids, assuring that fruits and vegetables are available to people who otherwise have limited access to fresh produce. We sell locally grown, top-quality fruits and vegetables at reduced prices. Additionally, we accept SNAP, WIC, and Senior Project Fresh/Market FRESH benefits. Treasures of Your Library: A White Glove Event

The Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation is offering the opportunity to view unique items housed in the Grand Rapids History and Special Collections Department of the library. At this event, guests will be allowed to examine items from President Gerald R Ford’s presidential campaign, rare maps, the Peninsular Club Archives, and the Robinson Photo Collections.
