MartiniMOTH is a storytelling event that is held the third Tuesday of the month at SpeakEZ Lounge. Each month a new theme is chosen. Storytellers volunteer and must tell a story about the evening’s theme. The story must be true, be about themselves, and be kept under seven minutes. The YMCA Veggie Van is West Michigan’s first and only mobile farmers market. The Veggie Van runs year round, making daily stops in urban neighborhoods throughout Grand Rapids, assuring that fruits and vegetables are available to people who otherwise have limited access to fresh produce. We sell locally grown, top-quality fruits and vegetables at reduced prices. Additionally, we accept SNAP, WIC, and Senior Project Fresh/Market FRESH benefits. The Checker Motors Corp: A Brief History

Checker Motors survived for 87 years by finding a peculiar niche in the automotive market. They made taxicabs. With determination and cunning, by building better vehicles, and by supplying quality parts, they navigated through the Depression, multiple recessions, a World War, and various corporate shenanigans. Largely unknown, their story rivals any in American automotive history.
