Mary Chase Perry Stratton: Journey of a Pioneering Spirit Exhibit
Founded in 1903, Pewabic Pottery has an 110-year legacy through its nationally renowned vessels, tiles and architectural ornamentation. This exhibit tells the story of Mary Chase Perry Stratton, Pewabic Pottery’s founder, her unique vision and her role in the history of Detroit. It also explores the growth of the Arts & Crafts movement in America and the development of ceramic art. This exhibit is organized by Pewabic Pottery and is made possible through a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council.

Celebrate the Holidays with Mrs. Claus
Children ages preschool and up can come hear holiday stories, help decorate holiday cookies, sing and enjoy hands-on fun. There will also be a visit from the woman behind the Man in Red, Mrs. Claus! Even thought it is the busy season, she’d willing to tell secrets about Santa, the reindeer and the elves. She will also show her specials treasures from the North Pole. She loves to answer questions and hear what you would like to tell Santa.
Adult Computer Class: Internet Security 101
This class is designed for those who already have a working knowledge of computers and some experience with using the mouse. This class covers the basics of internet security from protecting your computer against malware and virus attacks, configuring your computer security and firewall settings to protecting your personal information online. After taking this class, you’ll have a basic understanding of the importance of internet security.
