Homes for the Holidays: Owl Nest Boxes

Owls are one of the first birds to begin breeding each year in Michigan. Outdoor Discovery Center will bring in live owls to teach about these amazing animals. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to build owl nest boxes for the Land Conservancy of West Michigan preserves. Nest boxes will be available to take home for a $10 donation to cover costs. GRCC’s Biodiversity Club will be helping with the workshop. Construction involves some use of power tools, so children must be accompanied by adults. Registration is required.
