Grand Rapids Grassroots: A Panel Discussion

December 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Grand Rapids is known for the political and philanthropic contributions of its wealthiest residents. There are also many people, grassroots activists, working daily to make the city a better place to live. These activists, community leaders, and neighborhood organizers are determined to create a more socially just city. Grand Rapids Grassroots: An Anthology raises up the voices of those individuals and grassroots groups. The discussion will focus on the importance of telling the stories of people doing work to change Grand Rapids, the process of creating the anthology, and highlighting the work of the four panelists, Breannah Alexander, Shannon Garrett, Michelle Jokisch Polo, and Jes Kramer, as well as co-editor Dani Vilella.
