Genealogical Resources at the Grand Rapids Public Library

The Grand Rapids History and Special Collections Department houses vast resources for genealogists. Thoroughly covered are Michigan, the Midwest, and eastern states beginning in colonial times. Speaker Susan Rabick will show samples of books, their contents and how to locate those relevant to your research. Vital statistics records, genealogies, histories, and how-to books will be included. Other materials covered will include periodicals, searchable collections, archival collections, and databases.
