The Center for Michigan, a nonprofit and nonpartisan “think-and-do” tank will lead a 90-minute discussion on the paths from classroom to career in Michigan, specifically challenges to upward mobility. Participants will discuss challenges and opportunities for state residents in Michigan’s job market. We’re seeking participants who can speak to their experiences starting out in Michigan’s work force, seeking and maintaining a job, and succeeding in Michigan’s job market. Participants may include the unemployed, underemployed, young professionals, those looking to change careers, employers, entrepreneurs, as well as workforce development and service professionals.
