Kicking off next Monday with Earth Day, we’ve got a full week of fun, earth-friendly programs for the whole family! On Tuesday, join the Grand Rapids Audubon Club as they share More than Everything You Wanted to Know about Birds. On Wednesday, Grand Rapids Public Library’s own Tim Gleisner will delve into the History of the Rapids. Thursday, Haris Alibasic will talk about what we’re doing in the city of Grand Rapids to promote clean energy and sustainable living followed by a showing of Revenge of the Electric Car.
On Saturday, April 27, drop by the Green Market and Info Expo, and stop by one of 23 tables featuring local green and recycled art artists, earth friendly organizations WMEAC and Veg West Michigan, and Grand Rapids foodies Aura of the food blog Dinner with Aura, and Sheri from Nourish Organic Market. After you’re done with the Market, don’t forget to check out the other programs going on in other parts of the library.
