Does your child love construction trucks? Would he or she like to see them up close and in- person? Come explore our petting zoo of real construction trucks on display in the streets in front of Main library and the Grand Rapid Children’s Museum. Come, explore, and learn. Hands-on activities for the whole family!
The library has partnered with the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and six area cities for our first Construction Truck Petting Zoo. On Saturday, June 1, from 10 am – 2 pm, kids (and grown-ups) will get to see all the different construction trucks up close and learn about what each one does. There will be hands-on activities and snacks. You can even check out the new construction exhibit at the Children’s Museum. The Construction Truck Petting Zoo is a great time to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge at the library. None of this would be possible without the support of the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation and our friends at the Kent County Road Commission, and the cities of Grand Rapids, Walker, Kentwood, Wyoming, Grandville, and East Grand Rapids!
