The Grand Rapids History and Special Collections Architectural Database contains information on over 2800 properties in the metropolitan area. It spans the years 1907 to 1942 and includes a wide variety of residential, commercial and institutional locations. Street address, architect, owner, type (single family, commercial etc.), building name, source and date are some specific examples of the information included. Please note that not all information was available for each entry. Some of the articles include an image of the property. Although not available on line, the articles are housed in the GRHSCD and may be viewed by request to the Reference Desk. Information on buildings and businesses may also be found in the Pamphlet and Articles Files under such subject headings as Churches, Hotels and/or the name of a specific business. |
