Chickens in the City?

If you feel strongly one way or the other about permitting citizens of the city of
Grand Rapids to raise chickens, you might want to attend tomorrow night’s (Tues.,
Jul. 13) City Commission meeting at 7:00 pm on the ninth floor of City Hall (300 Monroe Avenue NW). The official wording from the agenda is that there will be a public “hearing to consider proposed amendments to Section 8.582 of Article 8 of Chapter 140 of the City Code entitled “Housing Code” to permit chickens in the City limits.”

So come on down and cluck your approval or squawk your misgivings.
