Are you a caregiver or do you know someone who is a caregiver? If so, you know how hard it is to find balance within your life. There are many types of caregivers so, while you may not consider yourself a caregiver, chances are good that you do some caregiving.
The Grand Rapids Public Library has been partnering with the Caregiver Resource Network to offer a free bimonthly information series on various caregiving issues. These are held on the second Tuesday of every other month, from 4:30 to 5:30, at the Main Grand Rapids Public Library.
If you haven’t had a chance to come to this series, the next talk will be held Tuesday, September 8, in the Main Library’s Ryerson Auditorium. The topic will be “Legal Issues Related to Family Caregiving” presented by Elder Law Attorney Brian Plachta. He will speak about the various legal issues caregivers face and be available for questions after the talk. Check out his Twelve Hot Tips for Seniors and Their Caregivers for helpful tips and information on caregiver contracts.
