Hey Foodies!

Hey Foodies! Step back into Michigan’s past … Enjoy the nostalgia of old kitchen utensils worn thin through decades of use … Learn the secrets of measuring ingredients by the egg shell, hickory nut, pinch and dash. Priscilla and Larry Massie, a husband and wife team of historians from the Allegan Forest who specialize in the heritage of the state they love, will take you on a guided tour of Michigan’s culinary heritage , including a display of kitchen artifacts, antiquarian cookbooks, as well as tasty samples of an old time delicacy.
Bring your friends to this to this fun event … Wednesday October 28 at 7:00 pm in the Ryerson Auditorium, Main Branch of the Grand Rapids Public Library. (Sponsored by the hungry history geeks of the Local History department.)
