Are “good people” dull reads?

Absolutely not!  And to prove it, just read “The Grace of Silence” by  Michele Norris (cohost of NPR’s program, All Things Considered), which is a compelling look back into her family history.    I loved her style, the way she told her parents engrossing story in a very slim volume, and the lessons that they left for her, even at a steep cost to themselves.

And on the fictional “good people” side, there’s the new No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency novel by Alexander McCall Smith, “The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party“. His stories of Mma Ramotswe and her co-workers  just get better!
