Getting an Internet Card

A library card (the best option) gives you an hour of computer time per day and the ability to borrow books, movies, music and more. If you can’t get a library card and have less than $40 in fines, you can get access to the Internet by getting an Internet card. An Internet card only gives you 30 minutes of computer time per day and you can’t borrow library materials.

Go to the Library

You can get an Internet card at any of our 8 locations.

Show a picture identification

Your picture identification is required for anyone over the age of 18 to get an Internet card. Examples include:

  • A drivers license or state identification
  • A passport
  • A military identification
  • A resident alien card (green card)
  • Other identification may be accepted; see staff for details

Students in middle school, high school, or an alternative schooling program can provide school identification. Elementary school and home school students do not have to show identification.

Internet cards are free

If you need to replace a lost Internet card, the fee is $1.00.

One Rule

You may have either a library card OR an Internet card, but not both.

Have fun!
