Our mission is Connecting people to the transforming power of knowledge. We use Twitter and other social media to support our work in fulfilling our mission statement.
We use Twitter to:
- promote our programs, events, materials, services, education and lifelong learning
- interact with our patrons, potential patrons, organizations, libraries, and library professionals
- understand the community's perception of the Grand Rapids Public Library and to create a dialog about library programs, events, materials and services
As more and more of our patrons interact with each other online we feel it is vital that we also become a part of their online conversation.
