Ryerson Auditorium

- Seats 125 lecture style; can also be arranged in classroom style or for small groups
- Special features: Part of the original 1904 Ryerson Library building, the Auditorium features beautiful arched windows and intricate crown moulding
- Available equipment: podium, tables, computer station, projector & screen, mics, sound board
- Non-Profit rate: $250 (4 hrs. or less) + $50 for each additional hour or partial hour
- For Profit rate: $400 (4 hrs. or less) + $100 for each additional hour or partial hour
- All renters are charged a $25 equipment fee and a $100 maintenance fee
Vander Veen Center for the Book

- Special features: cabinets displaying archival material, counter space available
- Available equipment: projector & screen, podium, tables
- Non-Profit rate: $100 (4 hrs. or less) + $25 for each additional hour or partial hour
- For Profit rate: $200 (4 hrs. or less) + $50 for each additional hour or partial hour
- All renters are charged a $25 equipment fee and a $100 maintenance fee
Auditorium & Meeting Area

- Spacious auditorium with stadium-style seating descending to stage, meeting space in rear can also be used for additional seating
- Special features: meeting space can be divided, space available backstage, adjustable lighting
- Available equipment: tables, podium, screen
- Non-Profit rate: $100 (4 hrs. or less) + $25 for each additional hour or partial hour
- For Profit rate: $200 (4 hrs. or less) + $50 for each additional hour or partial hour
- All renters are charged a $25 equipment fee and a $100 maintenance fee
Guidelines
- Library facilities may be used for activities not sponsored or administered by the Grand Rapids Public Library when those activities are educational, cultural, or community betterment in purpose.
- Library facilities are available to non-profit and for profit organizations for meetings and programs but are not to be used for business development, sales or commercial activities.
- Library facilities are not available for social events such as showers, birthday parties, weddings and receptions, or private receptions.
- The Library will not discriminate in the use of its facilities based upon race, religion, color, creed, national origin, gender or other criteria prohibited by law.
- Permitting use of Library facilities does not constitute endorsement, by the Library, of the organization, the goals, objectives or activities of the organization, or the content of any communications made by the organization.
- Facilities are available during open Library hours up to 30 minutes prior to closing.
- The user shall be responsible for any and all damage.
