A Very Hungry Caterpillar Loose at Seymour Library!

The jury is still out on which activity was more fun: laughing hysterically while we suited our staff member up in the caterpillar costume, or the looks of delight and surprise on the 17 kids that came to the Hungry Caterpillar Eric Carle art event at Seymour.

The very hungry caterpillar has cornered Amy. She has nowhere to run in our back workroom….this caterpillar was huge and hungry!

Ready to greet the kids, but will it fit through that door?!

Cook Arts Center helped us make some very cool caterpillars on leaves!  Here is Catherine with her finished caterpillar.

TJ  & Allison are proud of their final caterpillar art projects!

I love the story you've told! And the caterpillar didn't only end up a big fat caterpillar, he started that way, too!

I laughed until I cried. Did they teach you about character costume wearing in Library school?
