A Cordial Invitation to Peculiar and Extraordinary Adornments: Steampunk Jewelry Making

Ladies and gentlemen, steamship pilots and clockwork gunslingers,

Please join us in the crafting of brooches in the Steampunk fashion. You may bring your own odd trinkets and miscellany, or use the gears and beads we have provided for your delight. Once made, these imaginative baubles will certainly bring exceptional felicity to any circumstance. You will be apex of elegance, whether on a promenade through the sovereign’s royal gardens or a pernicious skirmish upon a steam mechanized airship.*translation below!

The schedule is as follows:

6:30 pm on March 7th, 2011 at either the Yankee Clipper library or the Seymour library

6:30 pm on March 8th, 2011 at the West Leonard library

2:30 pm on March 12th, 2011 at the Main library

*Come make a brooch in the style of Steampunk. Bring watch gears, electronic components, or any small beads or items you want to put on your brooch, or use the ones we have for the program. When you wear it, you’ll be the epitome of Steampunk fashion, whether taking a stroll in the queen’s gardens or fighting pirates on a steam-powered blimp.
