2014 GR Reads, The Life List

TheLifeListEver think back to your childhood and remember what you wanted to do when you grew up? This debut novel by Lori Nelson Spielman touches on this very idea. This book selection for this summer’s GR Reads, tells the story of Brett Bohlinger who embarks on a year-long journey of self-discovery after the death of her mother. She discovers that her mother wants her to complete some items on the “life List” of goals Brett made for herself when she was 14, before she can receive her inheritance. The book delves into how Brett takes on this challenge, trying to complete her life list; definitely showing us a wonderful story of a mother/daughter relationship.

We have organized three great events geared towards this book. Please try and come to one or all of them.

The first program, What Does It Take To Reach Your Dreams, is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, at 7 pm, in the auditorium. Local author and motivational speaker, Kris Mathis, will deliver a step-by-step program that will teach you how to achieve any goal or dream you may have. The second program, An Evening With Lori Nelson Spielman, is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at 7 pm, in the auditorium.
